Components Bureau General Manager, Andrew Ferrier and Power Supply Sales Manager, Andrew Laverack visited the new European Power Supply competency centre last week. Located less than 20 km from the major hub of Frankfurt, construction on this facility began last year, and it is now fully operational.
This new building is the home base of Emtron, who are the largest part of the Fortec power supply family. At a height if 16M, featuring 12 floors and a total Warehouse capacity of 140,000 cubic metres, the Power Supply Competence centre has been specifically designed to support the growth of our Power Supply Business across Europe. In addition to Sales, Product Management, Customer Service and Logistics, the Power Supply Competence Centre also offers a workshop and laboratory, allowing us to bring our fault analysis and RMA functions under the same roof as the modification and configuration service we offer, we are in the process of obtaining the necessary UL approval for the these functions to allow us to offer this across our wide range of Power Supplies
Following the visit Andrew Ferrier commented “this new site brilliantly demonstrates the commitment of the Fortec group to invest in and develop our Power Business, it has everything we need to support our customers into the future as we grow. The building itself is really impressive and offers a great working environment”
Joerg Traum, COO Fortec Power Supplies commented, “The addition of the new team in the UK comes at a really exciting time for Fortec, the completion of our new Riedstadt facility is the perfect platform for success, ensuring we can provide a streamlined, efficient warehouse facility coupled with technical excellence and configuration capabilities for semi-custom or configurable requirements all under one roof. We look forward to supporting the UK team technically and commercially.”
