According to preliminary figures, FORTEC Elektronik AG recorded profitable growth momentum in the first half of the 2021/2022 financial year in the challenging environment of the pandemic and despite strained supply chains, with earnings performance exceeding expectations.
Highlights:
Group turnover of EUR 42.1 million around 12 % above the previous year's level (PY: EUR 37.5 million)
Group operating EBIT of EUR 4 million (PY: EUR 1.9 million) more than doubled
Order book as at 31 December 2021 increased significantly to EUR 73.7 million (PY: EUR 48.6 million)
Raising of the 2021/2022 forecast, taking into account the dynamic business development in the first half of the year and the high order backlog (EUR 73.7 million)

New industrial AC/DC power supply comes in a full size brick from Cincon, the PDF700S is the latest from the Taiwan manufacturers. Available now from Components Bureau based in Cambridgeshire, a division of Display Technology.
The new AC/DC power supply offers a high efficiency up to 91.5% and has a wide operating temperature range of -40°C to +100°C making it suitable for harsh environments. It offers baseplate cooling allowing it to operate at full load.

Cincon introduce the new 750W brick, PFC750. The new PFC750 is available from us now.
The new PFC750 brick has been designed in an industry standard half-brick (2.28” x 2.40” x 0.50”) package and offers efficiency up to 96.5%. Comes in a baseplate cooling design making it perfect for fanless solutions.

Cosels AEA600F, designed for applications requiring a high level of safety. The AC/DC 600W offers 3 output voltages 24V, 36V and 48V with respective current ratings of 25A, 16.7A and 12.5A. Output voltage can be adjusted using a built-in potentiometer.
The AEA600F is able to deliver 300% peak power for a period of up to 1,000 milliseconds. The AEA600F is suitable for Body Floating (BF) applications and complies with 2MOPP and 1MOPP safety requirement.

We are pleased to introduce the latest release of the HFC100-W from Autronic. This addition to the HFC range makes the series complete offering 50W, 100W, 150W and 200W.
The new DC/DC converter offers a wide input range of 14.4 to 154 VDC, with an efficiency up to 92%. Options include open frame HFC100-W / O and galvanised HFC100-W / G, both are chassis assembly.

The CBM70S series from CINCON. Designed for consumer electronics, telecommunication devices, commercial equipment and light/heavy industrial applications.
The half size industrial brick AC/DC power module measures (61.0 x 57.9 x 17.0mm) and has safety approvals for IEC/UL/EN 62368-1, with no external components required. The AC/DC power supply module provides EMC compliance to meet EN55032 Level B for conducted and radiated emissions as well as offer immunity to meet EN61000-4 .

Medical devices (patient contact devices) need to have means of patient protection (MOPP). For a 1xMOOP, power components must have an isolation of 3000Vac, a creepage of 4mm and basic insulation. If the system requires a 2xMOPP, this is the most stringent standard so far: with an isolation of 4000Vac, a creepage of 8mm and double insulation. It is a 2xMOPP compliance that provides the highest level of safety in a medical device.
If you’re opting for an AC/DC power supply that adheres to only 1xMOPP, introducing a DC/DC converter meeting 1xMOPP can help you gain two means of patient protection. However, most system designers in the medical industry prefer to ensure that all power components reach the necessary standards instead of ‘doubling up’ to increase safety.

New addition of 1500W power to the Cosel PCA series extending the range from 300W up to 1500W.
Available in six different output voltages, the PCA series covers the whole range of applications from 5V to 48V and embraces 5, 12, 15, 24, 32 and 48V. All output voltages can be adjusted to near zero volts and operated in constant voltage or constant current mode. Worthy of highlighting, the 5V model trims down to 3V and so covers 3.3V for computing applications, whilst the 48V model trims up to 57.6V covering some of the growing Power over Ethernet (PoE) applications.
