Components Bureau burst into life in 1985 when current MD Cheng Yoe realised the trend towards ever-increasing computerisation in commerce and industry would need ongoing component support. “I think our approach in the early days brought us success and as a company our mantra has remained the same whatever the market conditions; we meet our customers’ requirements in cost, quality and design and deliver within their deadlines.”

A well-known figure in the electronics industry, Cheng’s years of experience have not dulled his appetite to continue to drive the company forward in a fast changing market with long lead-times and the threat of allocation lurking.

In his spare time Cheng is an enthusiastic tennis player and Manchester United season ticket holder.
