 Our business was founded to service the original electronics manufacturers in the UK, providing quality, competitive product supplied by a variety of means whether that is consigned stock, just in time or scheduled. This expertise has been refined and developed over the years to allow us the ability to extending this service to turnkey solutions and outsourcing projects.
Components Bureau is the conduit between the original electronic manufacturers in the UK and our contract manufacturing partners in Asia. Our expertise allows us to manage projects from costing stage and alternative component approval, right through to logistics, import duty, storage and delivery of the final article.
Our daily contact with China and regular visits to our partners’ factories ensure that Components Bureau can manage projects efficiently and effectively. Our relationship and commitment to our partners has resulted in two production lines with dedicated production engineering and material procurement staff to manage our various projects being put at our disposal.
More than just a representative or overseas sales agent, Components Bureau is a partner and customer to Surface Mount Technology, with a significant annual spend. The result is a business which is viewed with great respect and status.
We operate a three-way open-book project management policy which means that at any given time our customer can see exactly how each project is progressing. For every job, regardless of size we generate a project plan that is shared with the factory and the customer to provide critical path analysis and to identify project milestones; within this plan, ownership of various aspects of the project is stipulated to remove any potential grey areas or misunderstandings. We also detail the bill of material which takes into account the latest raw material delivery status so that critical items can be examined in more depth and perhaps sourced alternatively.
