New Kingbright SMD LEDs now available from Components Bureau

Kingbright has recently announced the addition of 2 new SMD LED ranges; the KT-5050 and KT-3228 series’. Both RoHS compliant products feature ceramic packages with silicone encapsulation, high luminous intensity, ESD protection and are compatible with IR-reflow processes. 

The KT-5050 offers a very low thermal resistance and is sized at 5.0mm x 5.0mm x 1.0mm.  

The smaller KT-3228 is just 3.2mmx3.2mmx0.8mm and has a surprisingly long out-of-bag life with a moisture sensitivity level of 2a – 4 weeks. These new LED series’ are ideal for:

• Backlighting applications (LCDs, switches, keys, illuminated advertising)
• Exterior automotive lighting (brake lights, turn indicators, tail lights)
• Marker lights
• Traffic lights
• Side markers.

The KT-3228 is also suitable for signal and symbol luminaire.
