Iskra Kondenzatorji, d.d. specialises in the marketing, development and production of electronics capacitors, components for radio-interference suppression, power capacitors and devices, metallized foils, tools and equipment.
Iskra is among the leading manufacturers of radio-interference suppression equipment and power capacitors.
The origins of Iskra Kondenzatorji d.d. can be traced back to a modest business founded more than 55 years ago. Since then, Iskra Kondenzatorji has grown into a modern enterprise which has manufactured millions and millions of capacitors.
In 1950 the then Institute for Electrical Connections in Ljubljana started to build a company for prototype production, called Telekomunikacije. On April 1, 1951, capacitor production started.
1951 – Founding of the company
1955 – Setting-up of own R&D Department
1965 – First exports to the European market
1996 – Iskra Kondenzatorji is registered as a joint-stock company
2004 - Iskra, d. d. becomes the majority owner of Iskra Kondenzatorji d.d.
